How We can help

Problem Behavior Reduction
  • DBT behavior intervention plans are designed and structured​ to identify the underlying reason why a certain behavior is occurring and introduce strategies to target the reduction of that behavior.
Language and Functional Communication Training
  • All behavior is a form of communication. However, Functional Communication Training, or FCT, aims to replace disruptive or unconventional behavior with more appropriate forms of communication.

  • Most children and adolescents with autism have difficulty understanding and using social skills. Social skills include everything from joint attention and greetings to understanding the theory of mind feelings, hidden curriculum.

We had tried two different companies prior to finding DBT. Once we with DBT, they ensured that we had the right clinician for our family and son. Now, he is making lots of visible improvements. They are very professional, truly care, and provide lots of support.
Currently, J is an 8-year-old male diagnosed with dyslexia and autism spectrum disorder. J enjoys playing with Lego, completing puzzles, art & crafts activities, and engaging in pretend play with sibling. J began ABA treatment Spring of 2018 after his fourth birthday. At the start of treatment, J required support in the reduction of the following area of maladaptive behaviors, developing communication skills, social and organizational skills, and skills related to activities of daily living. At the start of treatment, J engaged in the following maladaptive behaviors noncompliance, verbal aggression, property destruction, elopement, and physical aggression in the forms of biting, hitting, kicking, and spitting. On the first day of treatment, J engaged in aggressive noncompliant behavior and physical aggression in the form of biting.
