Mission & Philosophy

At DBT, we foster growth and create positive, life-changing moments that build on our clients’ talents, gifts, and new hope. DBT seeks to strengthen and support families by creating a lifestyle conducive to success for the family members with autism. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the leading research-based methodology for bringing meaningful, positive change for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. Our philosophy is to use only the best ABA program service delivery model that are customized to fit the needs and preferences of each unique child/learner and their family. DBT uses only empirically validated teaching strategies to deliver positive and effective instruction to our clients with autism. DBT uses the most innovative research, evidence-based teaching strategies available as guided by the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. These are used in real-world settings such as school, home, and the local community. Goals include developing communication, decreasing problem behaviors, and increasing social and self-help skills. Data collection is used consistently to ensure that interventions are effective, and goals are being met.

Commitment to Families

At Dr. Cho Behavioral Therapy, we foster growth and create positive, life-changing moments that build upon our clients’ unique talents, gifts, and new hope. We seek to strengthen and support families by establishing a compassionate, evidence-based lifestyle conducive to long-term success for family members with autism. Providing the highest quality programs to our clients is our top priority. To achieve this, our behavior therapists receive weekly supervision from a BCBA or BCaBA supervisor and attend monthly meetings to stay current with the latest methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) interventions. We take great pride in our experienced clinical staff and provide exceptional incentives to encourage long-term retention. As a result, our staff turnover rate remains remarkably under 5%, ensuring true continuity of care from dedicated therapists who have built a strong rapport with each child. This consistency is vital, as children with autism often experience difficulties establishing relationships outside of their immediate family.
